Ölüdeniz: Going Green

We made a flying visit to Ölüdeniz on Friday. A friend of ours is leaving Fethiye soon and he wanted some last minute photos before moving on; the perfect excuse for us to tag along to see what changes have been made for the 2011 summer season.

New Grass Areas in Ölüdeniz

One change stood out more than the rest and that’s the development of the promenade along Belcekiz Beach. It’s green. Grassy areas have been created and flowers planted.

A fenced playground has been erected should kids get bored of the sea / sitting in restaurants with their parents.

We went to the roof terrace of The Harrys to get a better view of the angled grassy areas and new paragliding landing area and overall, we’re giving it a big thumbs up! How green the grass will be once the searing temperatures of July and August will take effect, we don’t know, but for now, the Belcekiz area of Ölüdeniz is looking very swish. What do you think?

The flowers, with the grass, make the place cute. I hope the hot weather in summer will not let them die, too.

  7. @ Jan: Does look nice, doesn’t it? Ha ha, you’ve already got your itinerary planned, then.

@ Kuei-Ti Lu: I think there’ll be a lot of watering going on over summer! 🙂
