Turkey’s For Life Round-Up

Amongst all the taking of photos, processing of photos, labelling them, writing posts, editing them, arranging them, publishing them, updating Facebook and Twitter and the like, there are always little changes and tweaks going on behind the scenes that we hope will continue to improve our blog.

A New Address
Some of you may have noticed that we are now simply www.turkeysforlife.com. The blogspot bit has gone and we’re guessing the transition was a smooth one because we haven’t had any messages from subscribers, wondering why they aren’t receiving our posts anymore. And as usual, I’m using the royal ‘We’ here because of course, I had no hand in changing this. I wouldn’t know where to start.

The new domain is easier for people to remember, looks easier on the eye (we think) and will make it easier for us to make any future changes to the blog.

Marina Vista Hotel, Fethiye

You can book hotels via this blog.

A New Page: Fethiye & Turkey Hotels
As well as posting about what we get up to in our life in Fethiye, we also want to make the blog a more useful resource for readers. The tabs at the top of the blog have made a huge difference to the blog and today, we’re happy to announce a new tab – Fethiye & Turkey Hotels.

We’re quite excited about this new page because it means people can now book Turkish hotels via our blog. The main page is obviously for Fethiye – but you can use it to find hotels in almost every Turkish city. For Fethiye itself, there is a listing of dozens of hotels, hostels and pensions in the area. Where relevant it compares prices from over 30 different travel sites such as ebookers, hotels.com, hotels4u and booking.com and lists the best hotel prices.

You can also read reviews of the hotels, look at photos, view where the hotels are on the map and research the hotel amenities. Then, if you like what you see, you can click through to the cheapest travel site to book your hotel.

There is also now a hotel search box on the right hand side of each page of the blog which is another way into the hotel pages.

We really hope you find this new addition to the blog useful for making your visits to Turkey easier – and cheaper. There are hotels available in over 180 cities throughout Turkey – and of course, should you feel like visiting anywhere else in the world, you can research and book hotels in those destinations, too. Give it a go and let us know what you think.

I’ve already had a good look around at hotels in Istanbul for later this year – hopefully….
