Fethiye Boat Trip - A Photo

We've just arrived back in Fethiye after ten days away and it feels like we left early spring weather and have arrived for the start of the summer weather. The souvenir shops are open, the bars and restaurants are ready and at your service and the weather is breezy and sunny - just how we like it.

Of course, with the start of the summer season comes the start of the daily boat trips from Fethiye and, as we missed yesterday's Friday photo due to being 'in transit,' we thought we'd catch up with ourselves by using a photo taken two years ago, in May, while on the Göcek Sunday Market boat trip from Fethiye.
Fethiye Boat Trips - Göcek Market
We're ready for a Fethiye boat trip
If we remember rightly, we had a friend over to visit when this photo was taken - that's the only reason we can think of as to why we would be on a boat in May, anyway. Having said that, winter in Fethiye this year has been long and cold, so this new, summery weather is more than welcome. We're ready for a boat trip...

While we've been away, the Çalış to Fethiye water taxi has started to run again and, with family arriving today for a week in Çalış, that could well be our first time on a boat in 2012. It's a pleasant way to get to Deep Blue Bar and Paspatur

Hi Julia! Welcome back! Yes, the weather has dramatically improved - let's hope it stays like this. Have just come back from a week in Assos - we like it like this too!!!

@ Belinda: Thank you. Great to back and yes, summer has hit Fethiye - at least as far as swimming pools are concerned. :)

@ A Seasonal Cook In Turkey: Yes, let's hope the weather stays like this. Hope you enjoyed your week in Assos. :)

We all deserve an early summer after that long cold winter. I do remember May weather being changeable though.

Welcome back

@ Back to Bodrum: Yes, the weather in May can be very changeable here in Fethiye, too. We're making the most of it. :)
